25 Days of Blogging...Day 3

The boys got plenty of opportunity to let Santa know what they wanted him to bring this year.  Our first stop this morning was our church's cookie walk.  Colby saw his opportunity and hopped right up on Santa's lap to tell him what he wanted for Christmas.

Jacob is still not sure what to think of Santa.  Here is the conversation he and I had this morning.
"What are you going ask Santa for this year?"
"A race track.  Mommy, you tell him."
"No, you need to tell him."
"Maybe daddy will."

After the cookie walk, we (and Santa too) headed over to the fire hall for a Lunch with Santa event.  Once again Colby was eager to get in his wish list...

...but Jacob, not so much.  Finally, Mrs. Claus was able to get Jacob to tell her what he wanted, from a distance.  Jeff also was able to get him close enough to Santa to take a picture.

Since I was volunteering at the Lunch with Santa event the boys and Jeff had to stick around to help clean up.  While we were cleaning, Colby found one of the firefighters and started following him around the fire station.  When the fireman said he needed to move one of the trucks Colby spoke right up and said, "I want to ride on the fire truck!"  "Hop in!"  Luckily one of my Women of Today friends was there and said, "You can't take him without taking the other kids."  So all of the Women of Today kids that stuck around to help their moms clean got to take a ride around the block in the fire truck.

My favorite part of the day was getting to bake for the church cookie walk.  I found this idea online and thought it was too cute...I'm melting!
